SINGLE REVIEW: Foreign Places – Belvoir Hill
Originally reigning from North Yorkshire, Belvoir Hill have spent years performing mainly as a cover band. Playing hometown pubs, parties and even a private island in Essex, they’ve had a long stretch without any official releases under their belts.
However, yesterday (28th April) marked the end of an era and welcomed a new, as the band released their debut single, ‘Foreign Places’.
INTERVIEW: The Killers’ Dave Keuning on solo project ‘Keuning’
After taking a break from touring with The Killers on their recent tour, Dave Keuning is back with his solo project, Keuning.
Lead guitarist in The Killers, Keuning is the first time where Dave has been taking centre stage as frontman and vocalist, and he’s doing a pretty cracking job.
Three singles have already been released from upcoming album ‘Prismism’, including the title track and ‘Restless Legs‘. The album itself is set to be released January 25th 2019.
BAND REVIEW: Thin-Skinned
Brian Eno coined and began using the term ambient music in the late 70’s. In the liner notes of his 1978 album, Music For Airports, he describes ambient music as being “an atmosphere, a tint…intended to induce calm and a space to think”.
Combine this idea of ambience with a dollop of shoe-gaze and a few alt.indie vibes and you have Manchester 5-piece, Thin-Skinned.
